Jin Guanyin Oolong is a lightly fermented oolong tea that combines a highly aromatic fragrance with a rich, mellow taste.
It is not a traditional Tieguanyin; rather, it is a clonal (asexually propagated) oolong tea cultivar developed through more than 20 years of cross-breeding and selection, using Tieguanyin as the female parent and Huangjingui as the male parent.
Jin Guanyin perfectly inherits the finest traits of both parents—the full-bodied liquor and lingering sweet aftertaste of Tieguanyin, along with the natural osmanthus and gardenia aromas of Huangjingui. In China's tea circles, it has long been praised as "taking the charm of Tieguanyin, borrowing the fragrance of Huangjingui."
