Qilan Oolong – a rock-oolong from Wuyi Mountain, Fujian. “Qilan” means “rare orchid,” and the leaf lives up to its name: a medium-charcoal bake locks in an intense orchid scent, fresh grass notes and the unmistakable “rock rhyme” (yan-yun) of Wuyi. The liquor is clear, mellow and honey-sweet, leaving the palate as refreshed as if you’d just walked through a misty cliff-side orchid garden.
